Help! I'm a Facebook Addict!

I've been off of blogging for a bit. Why? Because I've been addicted to Facebook and online Scrabble! Someone save me! :)

Today I ran into a friend I play online Scrabble with. We were both at Kroger. We hadn't seen each other in months and after the 30 seconds of "catch up" time, the "Scrabble Babble" began.
"Did we finish that last game?"
"No, it's your move!"
"Hurry up because I want to finally win a game!"
and on...

Then I dashed home and ran to the computer to see how my other friend (I have 2) played her last move. She's another friend on Facebook and I haven't seen her in YEARS. So, we chat while we play and it's great.

I realized how much I've been playing when I walked through our TV room last night and saw Wheel of Fortune was on. They solved the puzzle without CALLING THE Q. The Q is worth TEN POINTS! You always play it! Oh! Wait. That's Scrabble.

Uh-oh.

Is there a 10-step program for Facebook Scrabble addicts? Hello, my name is Christen and...

So I'm hearing! So many people complain about the time demand of Facebook. I've already taken the "Blogging Pill." Not sure I'm ready for the Facebook plunge yet. But I'm thinking about it. Will you let your kids join when they're older?

Oh, Facebook is really fun! In some ways it is much more satisfying because you actually know who the people are! :)

The average person on FB has 120 friends, but I think that is too much and would take up too much time. If you stay away from most of the apps and just talk to the people you really care about, it isn't too bad time-wise. But, there does come a choice when time is limited... blog or FB. I always come back to my blog. :) But I find FB irresistible.

I'll let my kids on FB when they are in high school. I'm afraid they'll have to "friend" me (or at least an alias me), though, so I can see what they are up to. You can give out way too much info.

It's nice to hear from you! I am sure I have a lot to catch up on with your blog after being "gone" for a week! :)

Remind me NEVER to play online Scrabble. I will become addicted and my husband will divorce me. Thankfully I haven't become addicted to Facebook.

ALF! You should play Scrabble! :)

Really, it's not so bad, time-wise. You can play just one word a day, or a week, if you want to. And it's FUN! :) It's made me pretty much want to give up TV. For now, anyway. :) The best part is the chat window. You can chat with your partners and joke around through the game. That's the part I enjoy the most.

Oh dear. Well, I'm sure there are worse things you could be addicted to than Scrabble or Facebook. I haven't ventured into those arenas yet. I barely have time to keep up with all the bloggy stuff as it is. HA!

Love the bunny ears on your avatar, by the way. HA!

Have a good weekend, Chris! :D

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I have gone private for a short time. It seems that my blog was HACKED. I am not sending out invites until I know exactly what to do. Just wanted to let you know that you are not being excluded from Dust Bunny Hostage :) "I'll be back!"
