I have a confession...

Okay, so I have a confession. (shhh!)

I'm one of those people who plays Zynga games on Facebook. I know, I know. What a waste of time! But, in some instances, the games are quite fun! You think at first that they are almost like Solitaire, but they are not. For example, Mafia Wars is quite interactive.

I've even gained a very amazing friend through it... and she threw a party (and even invited me, a person she had never met, who was playing a fake MW game as part of her mafia). :) Life is short. Sometimes you have to throw caution to the winds. :) And it was the best party ever, complete with chocolate cigars, cool hats, and great music!

But, all that said, it still remains a FAKE GAME. There is no REAL mafia here. (eyes rolling!) Yet, I find that there is an increasing marketing strategy to try to influence people to use their REAL MONEY to play this FAKE (and FREE) game! How? By buying these gift cards! It's true! I saw one myself for sale at Gamestop.

What will be even worse is the day I see a gift card/ game card for Farmville. Use real cash so you can plant fake crops? NOOOOOOOO! ;) Surely, someone will draw the line at that? (riiiight)

After this, I need some coffee. In case you do too: :)

Dunkin' Donuts. Dunkin' keeps me blogging. Try Dunkin' Donuts Coffee For Free. Get a Sample

(But, you know, let me know if you want to be in my mafia on FB!) :) hehe

I bet you had fun at the party. How cool that you met a friend through MW and got to meet her in person! I find it amusing that people pay money to play those games too. Why pay for them when you can play for free? Chocolate cigars? I never heard of those. Sounds yummy! :D

Hi Daisy! Yep, sometimes you find friends in the oddest places. Mafia Wars. Who knew? ;)

Of course, all these great free things must have a loop in somewhere.

Hi Speedy! :-)

ha ha ha!

Hi Chris! :-)

Hey Speedy! I thought you might like that photo! I know it is just because there is FOOD! ;)

(You guys are so silly!) ;)

So, if you linked to a free coffee sample, raise your hand!

(ME!) ;)

And NO, Dunkin' Donuts is NOT paying me. ;) (I WISH!)

Yes, we are indeed silly. HA! :-D

I did not click for a free coffee for two reasons: I do not drink coffee, and we don't have a Dunkin' Donuts anywhere close by. HA! We have a local mom and pop's donut place called John's Donuts though. Now if you had a link for that and if it were for a cup of tea or a free donut, then I'd be all over that! HA HA HA! Thanks for sharing it though, Chris. I wish we did have a Dunkin' Donuts. There was one in the town nearby where I grew up, and I LOVED their donuts. :-)

Hi Daisy!

VERY silly... and VERY fun! ;)

Oh, DONUTS! How I love donuts!! We have a Tim Horton's just up the street... walking distance, really.... HELP!

I don't drink coffee either. I'm hoping to be converted. :) I think this is a sample that arrives in the mail, like what they sell at grocery stores.

OH! I thought it was to get a free cup of coffee at their store. I'm going back and clicking it then. My husband drinks coffee. I can get it for him. THANKS!

Hope it works for you, Daisy! I'm a fan of Money Saving Mom on FB and she has these great offers that she finds all the time. I think just about every day I click on some great offer she has found. In the past month, she's saved me almost $100 with very little effort on my part. She's a great resource.
